Did You Know ? How to play .3gp, .mp4, and other video format in ubuntu
Did you know, How to Play that format ( read .3gp, .mp4, .flv ). Sometimes we have a file from our phone with format mp4 or 3gp. when we want to play this file, the player will say that it is do not support for this format .So What did you do ?
There are a solution by installing mplayer with w32codecs support
Command :
sudo apt-get install mplayer
Download w32codecs from http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html#binary_codecs
And install it. You can visit this web for complete tutorial http://www.simplehelp.net/2007/07/27/how-to-play-rmvb-files-in-ubuntu/
When you using Windows, you can install Klite mega codec pack to play this file. Just download from filehippo or another download source. it support almost video format like .3gp, .mp4, .flv , .rm, .rmvb, and other ). The default player is media player classic. but when you have installed klite mega codec pack, other player like winamp or windows media player automatically can play this format
