Sometimes we use localhost to test our script. Me usually use this to test my themes or plugin that i want to use in my blog. WordPress is the first script that must be in. Cause i think much people use this to blog their hobby or making money . In Ubuntu this is the first script that i install. Next is joomla or Drupal. I’m still learning for both of them. I usually install extplorer too. This help me much when i want to upload file, extract file, rename file or another task. have you use it ?? or you have another script ??? Share with me
I usually use extplorer to change permission some file that may be required by some script like joomla or wordpress.There is alot of feature too, but i think you can browse it direct to the project. Just for information, its free. this is a little about its feature :

eXtplorer is a web-based File Manager. You can use it to

• browse directories & files on the server and
• edit, copy, move, delete files,
• search, upload and download files,
• create and extract archives,
• create new files and directories,
• change file permissions (chmod) and much more…

Next is phpmyadmin. I’m difficult to use terminal mode to control mysql database. I’m not to good for that. So I think phpmyadmin is the solution for me. Wanna now about it much , i just can get you a little info :
