cheese for your webcam

Have you use webcam application in your PC or notebook. I have try it on windows, but there is no additional feature. Even there is an application, you must buy it first . The webcam can only user for take a photo without any additional effect, and sometimes it hang when we use it Windows Explorer, dll. How about in linux ???. In linux, there is an application for webcam with much of fun effect for photo. The name of this application is cheese. For install just use command :

sudo apt-get install cheese

I have try it notebook acer and it work perfectly.

Bookmarks Pdf

Berikut langkah membuat Bookmark pada PDF :
1. Buka OpenOffice (saya menggunakan OpenOffice3)
2. Buat file doc atau odt,
3. Tiap poin2 / judul yang akan diset di bookmarks, diset menjadi heading terlebih dahulu
Format tampilannya akan seperti ini :
Heading 1

Heading 2

Heading 3

4. Klik File > Export as PDF
5. Pada Tab General cari sub tab General, klik export Bookmark
6. Pada Tab Initial View sub tab Panes, klik Bookmarks and page
7. Langsung klik Export dan Save

Wireless Broadcom berfungsi lancar ( bisa detect channel 13 )

Kemarin kemarin nggak pernah ada masalah dengan Wireless saya. Tapi baru baru ini, pas mau coba Access point yang D-link, pake perintah iwlist wlan0 scan, Access point tersebut tidak kelihatan ( terakhir baru ketahuan, ternyata Access Point ini mancar di frequency 2.472 Ghz atau di Channel 13 ) .
Kebetulan karena saya menggunakan Dual boot dengan Windows XP, Saya mencoba boot ke Xp. dengan menggunakan Xp, saya mendapatkan Access-Point tersebut. Saya juga sempat menggunakannya untuk internetan selama 2 hari. tapi karena penasaran dengan Ubuntu yang nggak bisa ngedetect AP tersebut, saya memberanikan diri untuk mengutak atik wireless. Memang ada perbedaan sedikit dari versi driver yang saya install di windows dengan di Ubuntu. Kalau di Ubuntu saya pake driver yang disediakan di
ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/sp34001-34500/sp34153.exe
Tapi kalau di windows saya pake Driver bawaan Laptop Acer . Langkahnya sih hampir sama dengan postingan saya sebelumnya. Hanya saja sementara saya meremove dulu driver yang telah diinstall.
Kalau secara GUI interface, saya masuk ke System -> Administration -> Windows Wireless Driver. Kalau tidak ada menunya, coba install dulu paketnya :
sudo apt-get install ndisgtk
