How to install flashget in ubuntu

Tested on Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 and gutsy 7.10, Flashget 1.7.3 on acer

What your prefer download manager ??? If You ask me when i’m using windows, i will say it flashget v.1.73 . Why ? Cause flashget give many future, specially when download file from rapidshare.com. Now i;m using ubuntu, but i’m still how to use flashget on my ubuntu. The important thing that we can do before installing flashget in ubuntu is installing wine . wine ??? did you say a drink ??? no. it’s an application to make windows application can compatible with linux. On it repository it say :

Wine is a compatibility layer for running Windows applications on Linux. Applications are run at full speed without the need of cpu emulation. Wine does not require Microsoft Windows, however it can use native system dll files in place of its own if they are available.

Linux Application which work and Running in My Acer 4520

This is Program which running well in my Acer 4520. As you know Acer 4520 Using Amd Turion With Nvidia Geforce. I’m not include Application that have package in Ubuntu Like OpenOffice , Movie player, Rhytmbox and Other apps.

1. Accessories

CHM Viewer

#sudo apt-get install gnochm

Gnochm is a Compiled HTML Help (CHM) file viewer for GNOME systems

Knotes

#sudo apt-get install knotes

KNotes is a program that lets you write sticky notes. The notes are saved automatically when you exit the program, and they display when you open the program. The program supports printing and mailing your notes.

Money Manager

#sudo apt-get install kmymoney2

KMyMoney is the Personal Finance Manager for KDE. It operates similar to MS-Money and Quicken, supports different account types, categorisation of expenses, QIF import/export, multiple currencies and initial online banking support.

Ganti OS lagi

Karena kurang familiar dengan Kubuntu 8.04, sekarang saya beralih lagi ke Ubuntu 8.04. Di PC sih tetap terinstall Kubuntu 8.04 sedangkan untuk Laptop, Saya pakai Ubuntu 8.04. Supaya tampilan grafisnya lebih menarik, saya menambahkan compiz fusion, style ala mac OS X dan Juga Cairo Dock untuk tambahan ( Kalau di windows biasanya namanya Object Dock )

Alhamdulillah, Aplikasi kayak Realplayer, Xmms, Flashget bisa jalan dengan baik.

Wirelessnya juga sudah bisa digunakan dengan baik ( walaupun sempat 2 hari pusing karena nggak bisa digunakan )

Yang masih error sampai sekarang adalah untuk instalasi printer, Kalau pake Intel sih nggak masalah tapi kalau amd64, saya masih belum ketemu cara instalasi printer. Utamanya sih utk seri Canon Pixma Series dan Canon ixxx series. Ada yang bisa bantu ngggak ???
