If you look at my pass article, i think it is not needed again, cause now virtualbox has make repository fot ubuntu jaunty.
just add virtualbox repository to your sources.list :
deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian jaunty non-free
then do update
apt-get update
after that, install virtualbox-2.2 by using command :
apt-get install virtualbox-2.2
that’s it there is no other setting cause virtualbox make it easy now

Have you upgrade or install ubuntu 9.04 ? If You using ubuntu 9.04, and want to install virtualbox2-2.0 , you will find that jaunty repositories has not been made by virtualbox developer. but they have provide the virtualbox installer for jaunty ( i386.deb and amd64.deb ). So you need to download it manually from it’s website. you must provide file dependencies that needed by virtualbox-2.2.0 in your ubuntu 9.04.
First of all, install the dependencies package using this command :
sudo apt-get install libqt4-network libqtcore4 libqtgui4 python2.5 libaudio2 python2.5-minimal
After that install virtualbox package :
sudo dpkg -i virtual-xxxxxx.Ubuntu_jaunty_i386.deb
After that using it like usually in ubuntu old version.
I Hope virtualbox developer immediately make repositories for ubuntu 9.04. So i can skip for find manual for dependencies package

I Have upgrade my virtualbox from 2.0 to virtualbox 2.1.0 . I am happy with the new feature that include in this releases. There is no more Manual TUN and TAP to bridging between Host OS and Guest OS. Maybe I am late to know about it cause it releases on november 2008, and i have test it on february 2009. Usually i just connect to virtualbox to test new software or test my new Operating System. But now there i a lot feature that must i digg to become better .
